Meet me at Crave Shop Symposium

March 25th, 2009 by Lauren · 2 Comments

Apologies for the late notice on this, but I’m appearing at Crave Shop Symposium next Monday (March 30th); it’s a one-day conference for entrepreneurs, with a distinct focus on women. (Though it’s not explicitly aimed at women, the Crave Company — those fabulous gals from Seattle who are behind the Crave Parties and Crave Books, as well as this conference — is not only women-run but targets a female audience.) It runs all day on Monday and tickets are just $85 ($70 if you buy 2 or more), which includes lunch; I’d say that’s a steal.

A few highlights:

  • The day kicks off with a half-hour session with Danielle LaPorte on boosting your cash flow. If you’re not reading her blog, you should be — she’s not only smart & savvy on a business front, but soulful and funny to boot. Following the intro session, Danielle will be moderating a couple of 45-minute sessions with some brilliant entrepreneurs: one profiling three flourishing businesses and one that’s a live think tank with a panel of experts. (Personally, I’m excited that I might finally get to meet Lorna Ketler and Barb Wilkins from Bodacious!)
  • At 11:15 I’m joining a panel on marketing (both on- and offline), which also includes Jill Earthy from MomCafe, Lindsay Perkin Wassell from SEOmoz, and Nancy Mudford from Le Petit Spa.
  • After lunch there’s a one-hour session on social networking (which includes the fabulous Alexandra Samuel from Social Signal)
  • At 2:45 I’ll be doing a one-hour talk-back session where you can ask me anything you like!

The day wraps up with a PR session and a bit of socializing. I think it’s going to be a really fun day as well as an information-packed one. If you decide to come, please stop by and introduce yourself!

Hi Denise — I’m not sure what kind of numbers they’re expecting. You might try emailing the organizers: crave [at]
